Weekly Crafts

Children will be required to read books about art to give them
 an appreciation for the crafts.  All material will be supplied. 
Children may elect to bring in items as noted.

Children will make friendship pins honoring Dr. King's dream of friendship and equality for all.

Read Around the World in Eight Months Book Club

3rd Wednesday Each Month January - August

Books should be read prior to attending the book club each month.
MULTIPLE COPIES OF EACH TITLE ARE AVAILABLE IN THE BRANCH CHILDREN'S DEPARTMENT

Come & Play Game Day

Thursdays, December - May

Stew Leonard III Activity Room
 

Come and Play Game Day gives children a break from computers to interact with their parents or other children while playing board games. Admission to the program is a library receipt showing that the child has checked out a library book within the past two weeks of the day he/she comes to play. No registration is required. If the room is full, children may have to wait and the children in the room will be limited to a half hour.

What's the Big Idea With Thomas Jefferson:
Creating a Vision for Success in what Matters Most

Ages 8 - 12

Frei plays the part of Jefferson to help children ages 8-12 get to know him and the exiting times in which he lived.  Learning about the visionary third President of the United States and author of the Declaration of Independence will help children connect to their own vision of the future. "What's the Big Idea With Thomas Jefferson?" includes an exciting workshop with games and a brainstorming session to help children create their own unique views.
