  • Electronic mail message
  • Sent from one computer to another
  • May include attachments
  • Must have e-mail address

3. Create an E-mail Account

  • Open browser
  • Type name of chosen website
  • Choose 'email'
  • Follow instructions for signing up
  • Submit form

Use caution when giving information

  • If possible use your name
  • If business, club, organization, OK to use distinctive name
  • Name variations:
    First name, middle name, last name          johnandrewsmith
    First name, middle initial,  last name          johnasmith
    First name, last name, with space             john_smith
    First initial, middle initial, last name           jasmith
