Literature: Kindergarten Through Grade Twelve - This site is by the
California Department of Education and lets you search for books on the list by
author, title, keyword, genre, grade, language, culture, curriculum connections,
and awards. This is "a collection of outstanding literature for children
and adolescents. The recommended titles reflect the quality and the complexity
of the types of material students should be reading both at school and outside
of class." Each title is annotated.
Reading Rants -
Slacker Fiction - This site has reviews of edgy fiction for older teens.
Genres include hip history, GenX, graphic novels, boy meets book, fanging
around (vampire fiction) and many more.
Bibliography
