Between the Libraries 5K Family Run/Walk
Sunday, September 28th at 9am
Registration and FREE Festivities Begin at 8am
at Union Park
 
Race starts at 9am
Location:  Union Park at the end of Mott Avenue (right down the street from the Norwalk Public Library Main Building)
  All proceeds will go towards increasing Family Programming at the library* 

Cost:  $14 pre-registration, Online Registration form
           $15 to register by mail (cash or check only)
(must print and fill out an (application)
           $6 for high school or college students - online or by mail
           $20 to register the day of the race for everyone


The first 250 registrants will receive a t-shirt and goody bag!

Join us for a morning of FREE fun for the whole family:
  • Join Saraswati's Yoga Joint for Family Yoga at 8:15am at Union Park.
  • Kids can make a crown or telescope for their costume to run the Fun Run.
  • Pick out FREE kid's books from Scholastic!
  • Kid's Fun Run begins at 8:55.
  • Following the race, head to the library for live music with Jay & Ray, a health fair, hula hooping with Bring the Hoopla and refreshments!

The course is a mostly flat 5K course from the Main Library down the Norwalk River Valley Trail, through Matthews Park, looping through Oyster Shell Park and back.  Prizes will be given to the top three men and women in each age group.

Team Target At the Start And the winner is
*Due to the success of last two races, the Children's Department was able to host a large variety of summer programs. These included Family Concerts with Tom Chapin and Princess Katie and Racer Steve, as well as many others!  Please help us make this year's race an even bigger success by encouraging friends, family and neighbors to register for the run/walk.
