  1. Yoga for Kids & Parents

    Yoga for Children and Parents Get stretching during this Yoga class taught by teachers from Saraswati’s Yoga Joint! The class is open to children ages 3 to 12 and their parents or caregivers. No registration necessary but the program is limited to the first 60 people who arrive. Be sure to bring some water to stay hydrated and a yoga mat or towel. Part of our Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies program, sponsored by FactSet. (Disclaimer: If your child is restless during the class, please bring them over to the coloring table for a quiet activity so that the rest of the class in not disrupted.)   2. Literacy Volunteers Information Session

    September 11, 2013, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Children's Activity Room

    Experience the joy and fulfillment of helping someone complete a job application the first time, be able to help their child with homework, or become a US citizen. Helping someone learn to speak English can open up a world of opportunity. Literacy Volunteers staff will train you work with adult learners in small groups. You do not need to speak another language or have an educational background. A high school diploma or equivalency is required along with the ability to speak English clearly. Let us introduce you to a volunteer opportunity that will make a difference in someone’s life, as well as your own. For more information call 203-899-2780 ext# 15182.
