  4. Richard "Cookie" Thomas Concert

    The Friends of the Norwalk Public Library are sponsoring a Concert on Saturday, October 25th at 3:00 pm with Richard, "Cookie" Thomas in the Main Level Reading Room in celebration of their Book Sale. Cookie performed this summer as part of The Sounds of Summer at the Library series. His career began in Philadelphia in 1960 when he had the opportunity, at fourteen, to open for B.B. King. Cookie's voice is especially suited to well-known classic standards. He draws inspiration from the likes of Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra and Johnny Hartman.

I Would Like to Write…A Creative Writing Journey How many times have you heard someone say “I would like to write, but I don’t know how to begin? “ or “I have a great idea, but who would want to read it?” Leslie Kerr is a published writer and editor for newspapers, magazines, and trade journals nationwide, and has taught at the elementary, secondary, and college level classes for over 30 years. She is the owner of LKB Associates, which offers editorial services to individuals and organizations from writing, editing, planning, helping to publish, and teaching the craft of writing. Leslie has most recently taught a writing course at Norwalk Community College for the Lifetime Learner's Program.
