    Music Career A versatile vocalist, and an undiscovered treasure, Richard Thomas' career began in Philadelphia in 1960 when he had the opportunity, at fourteen, to open for B.B. King. Richard's current CD, Touch You With A Song, produced and arranged by pianist John di Martino, is a complement to his collection, which includes The Pleasure Of Your Company andHoliday Classics, both arranged by pianist Lynne Arriale. His latest recording Live At SoundWaters was performed on location at SoundWaters Richard's voice is especially suited to well-known classic standards. Richard draws his inspiration from the likes of Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, and Johnny Hartman. In fact, you can hear a bit of each when Richard sings.

  3. Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies Introduces Walk Aerobics With Leslie Kerr

    Leslie Kerr will be leading a Second Act Fitness Walk Aerobics Program this summer at the Library on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at 1 pm in the Main auditorium beginning Tuesday, July 15 through Tuesday, September 2nd. Indoor walking is a progam anyone can do. The program is a whole body multi-muscle walk set to music. Four basic steps and easy-to-follow patterns allow participants of all fitness levels to feel successful with their very first class. Fitness Aerobics creates a wonderful non-threatening environment where walkers build stamina, improve health and have fun.     Elizabeth Bettina, author of It Happened in Italy : Untold Stories of How the People of Italy Defied the Horrors of the Holocaust will present an AuthorSpeak program at the Norwalk Public Library on Thursday, July 31st at 7 pm in the Main Auditorium. Elizabeth Bettina expands on the subject matter of her book as she explores the untold stories of the Jewish population of Italy and the Italians that saved them from the Holocaust. It may have happened in Italy during the 1940's but in the Summer of 2014, it is happening in Norwalk, Connecticut. Elizabeth will be bringing her book to life here at the Library. The community will be sharing a story that is unique and virtually unknown to most people. This historical record and account of the Jews in Italy who were saved by the Italian people during the Holocaust is a little-known true story.
