    Lollie Hoxie, author of Finding Joy in Ecuador: Our Crazy Overseas Retirement Plan will be at the Library for an AuthorSpeak Program on Wednesday, August 20th at noon in the Main Auditorium.   2. Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies Introduces Walk Aerobics With Leslie Kerr

    August 21, 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM @ Full Auditorium

    Leslie Kerr will be leading a Second Act Fitness Walk Aerobics Program this summer at the Library on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at 1 pm in the Main auditorium beginning Tuesday, July 15 through Tuesday, September 2nd. Indoor walking is a progam anyone can do. The program is a whole body multi-muscle walk set to music. Four basic steps and easy-to-follow patterns allow participants of all fitness levels to feel successful with their very first class. Fitness Aerobics creates a wonderful non-threatening environment where walkers build stamina, improve health and have fun.     Do you love to dance? Are you ready to get your groove on, get in shape, and have lots of fun? The library is offering free Zumba classes for teens and adults every Monday evening at 6pm in the library's auditorium. Our instructor, Karen, also teaches at the Edge, the Southport Raquet Club, and the Westport Y. The series is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Norwalk Public Library. For ages 13 and up.     Richard Hyman, author of Frogmen: The true story of my journeys with Captain Jacques-Yves Cousteau and the crew of Calypso will be at the Library for an AuthorSpeak program on Wednesday, August 27th at noon. A Light lunch will be provided. ea In his personal account of SCUBA diving with Jacques Cousteau, Richard Hyman takes us behind the scenes with Cousteau's diving team, inside the legendary ship Calypso, and under the sea to some of the world's most breathtaking underwater SCUBA diving locations.

    Resolve to Write! which is a writing workshop led by Leslie Kerr will meet on Wednesday at 3:00 pm each week beginning on January 15 in the Carnegie Room at the Norwalk Public Library, 1 Belden Avenue. I Would Like to Write…A Creative Writing Journey How many times have you heard someone say “I would like to write, but I don’t know how to begin? “ or “I have a great idea, but who would want to read it?” Leslie Kerr is a published writer and editor for newspapers, magazines, and trade journals nationwide, and has taught at the elementary, secondary, and college level classes for over 30 years. She is the owner of LKB Associates, which offers editorial services to individuals and organizations from writing, editing, planning, helping to publish, and teaching the craft of writing. Leslie has most recently taught a writing course at Norwalk Community College for the Lifetime Learner's Program.
