    Suzuki Baby Music Class for Children age 0-3 This class is an interactive music class for babies and toddlers ages 0-3 and their parents/caregivers. Parents enjoy watching their babies develop rhythmic and melodic awareness, memory, and social skills in a weekly music class. The teacher works with parents to build a repertoire of lullabies, action songs, and nursery rhymes.

  1. Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies Introduces Walk Aerobics With Leslie Kerr

    July 29, 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM @ Full Auditorium

    Leslie Kerr will be leading a Second Act Fitness Walk Aerobics Program this summer at the Library on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at 1 pm in the Main auditorium beginning Tuesday, July 15 through Tuesday, September 2nd. Indoor walking is a progam anyone can do. The program is a whole body multi-muscle walk set to music. Four basic steps and easy-to-follow patterns allow participants of all fitness levels to feel successful with their very first class. Fitness Aerobics creates a wonderful non-threatening environment where walkers build stamina, improve health and have fun.     Resolve to Write! which is a writing workshop led by Leslie Kerr will meet on Wednesday at 3:00 pm each week beginning on January 15 in the Carnegie Room at the Norwalk Public Library, 1 Belden Avenue. I Would Like to Write…A Creative Writing Journey How many times have you heard someone say “I would like to write, but I don’t know how to begin? “ or “I have a great idea, but who would want to read it?” Leslie Kerr is a published writer and editor for newspapers, magazines, and trade journals nationwide, and has taught at the elementary, secondary, and college level classes for over 30 years. She is the owner of LKB Associates, which offers editorial services to individuals and organizations from writing, editing, planning, helping to publish, and teaching the craft of writing. Leslie has most recently taught a writing course at Norwalk Community College for the Lifetime Learner's Program.

Richard's current CD, Touch You With A Song, produced and arranged by pianist John di Martino, is a complement to his collection, which includes The Pleasure Of Your Company andHoliday Classics, both arranged by pianist Lynne Arriale. His latest recording Live At SoundWaters was performed on location at SoundWaters www.soundwaters.org Richard's voice is especially suited to well-known classic standards. Richard draws his inspiration from the likes of Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, and Johnny Hartman. In fact, you can hear a bit of each when Richard sings.

    Elizabeth Bettina, author of It Happened in Italy : Untold Stories of How the People of Italy Defied the Horrors of the Holocaust will present an AuthorSpeak program at the Norwalk Public Library on Thursday, July 31st at 7 pm in the Main Auditorium. Elizabeth Bettina expands on the subject matter of her book as she explores the untold stories of the Jewish population of Italy and the Italians that saved them from the Holocaust. It may have happened in Italy during the 1940's but in the Summer of 2014, it is happening in Norwalk, Connecticut. Elizabeth will be bringing her book to life here at the Library. The community will be sharing a story that is unique and virtually unknown to most people. This historical record and account of the Jews in Italy who were saved by the Italian people during the Holocaust is a little-known true story.
