Ages 8-11. Over the past two years, Team STEAM has held the objective of giving children a free, easily accessible, fun, and hands-on STEAM learning experience. In each lesson, we teach the fundamentals of the engineering design process as well as how creativity and design is integrated into engineering. In order to continue our mission and expose more children to the wonderful world of STEAM, we have decided to start a new line of projects that integrate basic electricity into our current lesson plans. Riya and Keerthi, the founders of Team STEAM, have worked closely with the makers of the Team STEAM kits, 3DuxDesign, to create an electricity add on to the current maker kits. They include LEDs, crocodile clips, batteries, conductive copper tape, and a battery pack. As a part of this new project, the age requirement will rise and the children will learn how to build and implement a basic electrical circuit. Limited to the first 10 children to arrive.
